Notre Dame Fighting Irish Defeat Army

Almost as soon as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish finished trouncing Army by a score of 41-9, you could hear the cheers starting to erupt for next weekend’s big one against Number 4 USC. Notre Dame Quarterback Brady Quinn even ran over to the student section to join in the cheers of “Beat SC! Beat SC!” Notre Dame Coach Charlie Weis said, “They could have been louder.”

Looking past next weekend’s game for a moment, Notre Dame Football Tickets are now available for next season. The Fighting Irish will open at home on September 1 against Georgia Tech. Tickets to that one are costing anywhere from $383 to $1353. But if there is anything to hype, tickets to next season’s USC game at Notre Dame are already costing anywhere from $648 to $2059.

Now the Notre Dame Fighting Irish need to prepare for USC

Brady Quinn led the Fighting Irish to a rout over the Army. Quinn threw three touchdown passes and Darius Walker ran for 162 yards and two scores to power Notre Dame to a record of 10-1 and keep them in the national championship race. The Irish have now won eight straight games and will close out the season next weekend at USC.

If the Irish want to be in play for the national championship, they will need to topple USC in their regular season finale and hope that third-ranked Florida falls in the Southeastern Conference championship game. Notre Dame is all-but assured to be returning to a Bowl game for their second straight season, but they would like that to be against undefeated Ohio State.
