Notre Dame’s Brady Quinn Third in Heisman Vote

Though the Notre Dame Fighting Irish still have a lot to do to get ready to take on the LSU Tigers on January 3 in the Sugar Bowl, the Irish were able to take a break the other day to reflect upon the recent Heisman Trophy vote.  Ohio State’s Troy Smith, favorite to win the Heisman, did not disappoint, winning 801 first-place votes.  Notre Dame’s Brady Quinn, the senior quarterback, had 13 first-place votes.  Not dismayed by his surprise slip to third, Quinn said that he hoped to put his bronze metal to good.  He said he would work even harder to beat LSU in the Sugar Bowl and then, “Strive to be my best in the NFL.”  Fans looking to get their hands on Sugar Bowl Tickets can still acquire them through Stubhub.
