Two Notre Dame News Stories

Hey, hey, Notre Dame Football fans! I have two medium-sized tacos of news for you to consume. Alone, these two flatbread tacos would not be enough to constitute a meal, especially considering the large amount of filler lettuce that is stuffed into them. But together these will make for a fine regular-sized blog.

The first bit of news is that the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have announced that they will be playing their USC game next year in some sweet throwback uniforms. The uniforms will be like what the team wore in the mid and late 1970s, when players like Joe Montana and the Green Machine were dominating the college football world.

The other taco is this: Notre Dame has announced that it will play a game at the Orlando Citrus Bowl, a neutral stadium, in the years 2011 and 2014. This is part of the plan to make the Fighting Irish more of a national team, and expose them to the rest of the nation more thoroughly. The Irish will begin playing regular season games at neutral cites starting in 2009. This is significant, because South Bend fans will have to travel more often to see all of the games. Plus, the football team usually benefits from the great support they get at Notre Dame Stadium. At any rate, you won’t have to travel far in the world…. wide web to get tickets. They will still be at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football tickets page at StubHub.com.
