See Pics of Dayne Crist

One of the most sought-after quarterback prospects in the class of 2008, Dayne Crist, decided to go to Notre Dame over the school in his own backyard, USC. If you would like to take a look at this young QB in a workout, you can go to ESPN.com and see him in the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp in San Juan Capistrano, California. There are a bunch of great pictures, very high quality. Apparently Dayne did very well at the camp, surprising many of the scouts with his poise, arm strength and athleticism. There’s even a picture of him shaking hands with a former Notre Dame QB hero, Joe Montana.

Of course, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have no lack of quarterbacks. It is well known that Jimmy Clausen was once the Dayne Crist of prospects, very highly ranked, with a lot of coverage and a lot of hype. It seems to me that the QB situation in South Bend is one of the team’s only dilemmas, and it acts as a distraction. Next year, what will the situation be like? Only time will tell.

If you would like to see Dayne Crist play, you will probably have to wait until 2009, and then you can get Notre Dame Fighting Irish tickets to see him in action.
