Weis’ Expectations High

You can check out the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish head football coach, Charlie Weis, at a news conference at both ESPN and the newly improved Notre Dame Athletics website, UND.com. There aren’t any real surprises with this video. It seems to be a pretty standard conference for the head coach of one of the nation’s top programs. He talks about the need for his players to buy into his system, the challenges his team will face when it comes to usurping the media’s image of the team, as well as his own personal expectations, which are nothing short of a chance to win the national championship.

Some of the other people who will speak include players John Carlson, Maurice Crum, Jr., Travis Thomas and Tom Zbikowski, as well as some of the players’ leadership personnel, including Trevor Laws, Geoff Price and John Sullivan. It’s Media Day at Notre Dame, so get into it, as the 2007 NCAA football season officially kicks off! Today is also the first day of practice, so it is a very exciting time to be a fan of Notre Dame sports.
