DePaul Can’t Stop Big Luke; No. 19 Irish Roll Past the Blue Demons

Even though DePaul freshman Dar Tucker gave a valiant effort, the DePaul Blue Demons could not come back to get a win versus the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Big Luke Harangody was the man again for the Irish. He gave a brilliant effort, posting 24 points and nine rebounds to lift the Irish to their 12th conference win- the most Big East wins ever for Notre Dame. The win also clinches one of the top four seeds in the Big East Tournament- meaning that they will have a much better shot of wining the thing.

Notre Dame was up 60-32 at one point early in the second half of the game. They looked like they would easily walk away with a win, but the Demons came back. At certain points in the final minutes the Irish were in danger of allowing the game to become two-possession for the Blue Demons. However, a couple of key offensive finishes allowed Notre Dame to close out and win on the road. Nice job Irish! For your effort you will be given a No. 19 ranking in the AP Top 25 Poll.
