Notre Dame Perfect at Home For Two-Straight Seasons

With their 68-55 win over St. Johns yesterday, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish men’s basketball team has achieved a perfect home game record this year. They were also perfect last season. In fact, their current home winning streak- which will continue until they play at home to start off next season, is at 37 games. Their two-straight undefeated Big East seasons is a conference record. The Irish will need a few more home W’s to get to a school record for home wins in a row, and depending on their schedule next season, they could eclipse it.

But enough with the historical significance of the game. If you watched it on TV, then you probably heard quite a bit about the streaking that the Irish are doing. Let’s get into the game itself. You can look at a fairly concise game summary at FOX Sports. Harangody led the way for the Irish, ending the game with 20 points and six rebounds. Kurz, in his last home game as a Note Dame basketball player, finished with 15, and Kyle McAlarney had 13, hitting three out of five three pointers. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are now 13-4 in the Big East and 23-6 overall.
