Last Game before the Tournaments: South Florida

This Saturday the Notre Dame men’s basketball team will play their last game of the season before both the Big East and the NCAA Tournaments. The Irish, ranked No. 19 in the NCAA right now, are set to play South Florida, who is near the bottom of the Big East standings. The game will be on the road in Tampa, though, and you know that the USF Bulls fans will be cheering for their team to end the season with a bang against the powerful UND Irish. If you can’t make the trip out to Florida, then you can watch the game on some of the local networks and special ESPN channels. It should be a good one. It’s the last chance for the Irish to tune up before the road gets much tougher ahead.

If you would like a really nice breakdown of the Notre Dame basketball team stats, then you should head on over to the 2008 Notre Dame Scouting Report page at Basketball-Prospectus.com. Here you can get a no-frills look at just what the Irish were able to accomplish this season, numbers-wise. It’s a good place to learn some random facts about what the Irish are good at (shooting free throws and dishing assits) and what they are not so good at (steals, blocks).
