Notre Dame Secured No. 5 Seed, Date with George Mason in Tourney

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are in the Tournament with a No. 5 seed in the East Region. There is so much information out there right now about the Tourney that it’s hard to comprehend where to start first. You could go to ESPN.com to get your feet wet. They have lots of things to read, especially if you have an Insider account. Of course, one thing you can view without an account is the tournament history of the Notre Dame men’s basketball team. You can see what the Irish were able to accomplish in year’s past. As you probably know, the team was ousted in the first round last year by Winthrop.

However, this time around the Irish are ranked a little higher, and will get to face George Mason, the No. 12 seed. If the Irish win versus Mason, they could get some sweet Tournament revenge versus Winthrop this year. But first things first. Notre Dame has to concentrate on the task at hand. Coming up tomorrow, we’ll probably have more about the tournament’s first round game for Notre Dame, which will be played in Denver, Colorado.
