Notre Dame in the Frozen Four Tonight!

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish hockey team is in the Frozen Four, basically the equivalent of the Final Four in college basketball. The Irish hockey team has been doing excellently in the NCAA Hockey Tournament, and now they are scheduled to play the Michigan Wolverines, just one game away from getting to the NCAA National Championship. Very exciting.

For Notre Dame fans the matchup could hardly be better- save for if USC had a hockey team. Michigan beat the Irish in football season, but this is hockey, and the Irish are having a great year- unlike the football team. In the first round the Irish beat New Hampshire 7-3, in the second they beat Michigan State 3-1 and now they’ll get a shot at another Big Ten school that beat them in football.

Make sure to get some Frozen Four tickets, as they will be going very quickly. The game is set for tonight in Denver at the Pepsi Center. You can also catch it on ESPN 2 if you are not making the trip to the game.
