Knute Rockne: The Number One Face of College Football …Ever?

If you had to name the biggest names in college football history, who would make the list? According to Ivan Maisel, the name Knute Rockne belongs first an foremost. Well, he at least puts him at the top of his list- presumably not in any particular order. He names four coaches and four players who “transcended the game.” There’s no arguing that Rockne was a visionary and an incredible leader, but the list this author names is incredibly short.
