Jail for Irish Tight End?

We reported to you Notre Dame Blog readers the other day that Fighting Irish tight end Will Yeatman (along with Mike Golic, Jr.) were arrested after being caught with alcohol at an off campus house. They are both minors. Well, the charges against Mike Golic, Jr. seem to have slipped into the wastebasket of the internet, but the matter with Will Yeatman is a bit more serious. You see, several months ago he was arrested for reckless driving and driving under the influence. He struck a deal to get the drunk driving tag off his record if he stayed out of trouble, but apparently he could not, instead getting this underage drinking beef with John Law, in addition to a false information and resisting arrest charge.

Needless to say, this isn’t good. Right now Yeatman is facing jail time. Earlier we commented that Yeatman was young and making some mistakes, and should be given some leniency by the bloggers out there. We still tend to agree. Hopefully Yeatman will learn his lesson, justice will be served, and we’ll all be better off for it.
