Notre Dame Prepares for Stanford… Plus X-Country

Stanford will come to South Bend to take on the Notre Dame fighting Irish at Notre Dame Stadium this Saturday. The game will be nationally televised, and it’s sure to be one of the most watched sporting events this weekend, even with the baseball playoffs and the NFL in mid season. However, let’s take our eyes off the world of football for just a moment, because there’s a huge event in another fall sport going on right now. Today, Friday the 3rd, the University of Notre Dame will host the Notre Dame Invitational, a cross country meet that’s slated to feature some of the best cross country teams in the nation. Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams are ranked. If you’re up in South Bend today, make sure you check out the race.
