Notre Dame Takes Stock After Tense Navy Game

Notre Dame is collectively breathing a sigh of relief after the football team’s last game. The Fighting Irish barely pulled out a win over Navy as the Midshipmen launched a furious come-from –behind attack in the last two minutes of regulation. Coach Charlie Weis and the players all took time reflecting on the win to the media yesterday. Running back Armando Allen said this in the South Bend Tribune, according to the Sports Xchange:

“Playing against Navy, you’ve got to know that you have to play from beginning to end, because they’re going to give it all they’ve got, from the beginning of the game until the clock strikes zero.”

If ND can get a win versus Syracuse, a team which hasn’t exactly been in top form this season, they could improve to 7-4, making their chances at getting a nice bowl game even better.
