No More Snowballs; Irish Face USC in Los Angeles

Notre Dame football fans have been getting guff from the media for their behavior during last week’s game versus Syracuse. The Irish fans started throwing snowballs onto the field, and some at the Irish players and staff, when the teams lost its lead and fell to the Orange because of a last second touchdown. But this week the Domer fans in attendance will not get to throw anything, except perhaps soot balls, because Notre Dame travels to Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to face the No. 5-ranked USC Trojans.

Speaking of the Trojans, they’re good this year. They have only one loss and are still very much in the national title hunt. They will need some screw-ups at the top of the standings, but USC definitely has a fire under them as they attempt to get to the BCS Bowl Championship Game. Notre Dame, which as you know has been a bit up-and-down this year, stands in their way. The Irish have motivation of their own, as they are looking to get into a good bowl as well, and a win would silence the critics who have been picking on Charlie Weis lately.
