ND Gets Do-Over Chance Tonight vs. Louisville

Notre Dame has a chance to change things tonight. It was seven games ago that the Irish played the Louisville Cardinals. The game went into overtime, where Louisville turned it on, and the Domers shut down on offense. That overtime loss to Louisville set off what Notre Dame coach Mike Brey has called “the biggest challenge in the history of the program,” a seven game losing streak, many to conference teams, that has the Irish reeling. Tonight, when they play Louisville, Notre Dame has a chance to win and start a new streak. Will they answer the call?

If you get tickets to the game, you’re probably going to see a very tough matchup for the Irish. Louisville is currently ranked seventh in the nation, and they’re one of the hottest teams in the conference right now, having won 11 of their last 12 games. They can score from all over, and Rick Pitino has the Cardinals playing strong defense. The Domers are at home, which might help them, though. They could sure use some support from the stands, so try to get out to the Joyce Center tonight.
