Sunday Funday! Irish Top South Florida 67-57

Notre Dame continued their scramble back to the forefront of the Big East (hopefully) with another win this Sunday.  UND knocked off South Florida 67-57 in a home game that left fans feeling even more optimistic than they had been after their recent home game win over Louisville.  Even though South Florida is one of the easier teams in the Big East, a win is a win, and the Irish need all they can get at this point.

Luke Harangody and Kyle McAlarney both scored a game-high 19 points. Even though the Irish let the Bulls get close in the second half, they turned on the defense and pulled away near the end. Their defensive effort gets special accolades from the Notre Dame Blog today, because (when combined with the stiff D played against Louisville) it shows from real improvement from just a few weeks ago.

Is this a major momentum swing? Will the Irish continue their great defense? We will find out soon enough. Notre Dame will play
