Football Fan Day Planned for August 15

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Fan Day is set for August 15th, 2009, beginning at 8:00 AM and finishing at 11:30 AM. What is the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Fan Day, you ask? Why, it’s a chance for the general public to come out to the stadium to watch the Notre Dame football team in their only open-to-the-public practice of the season. What could be better than a chance to see the Irish in a practice early on a Saturday morning, you ask? Well, how about the fact that admission is free!
Even though you will only get to see team practicing, and the concession stands will be locked down and the ushers will be watching for people who try to sneak alcoholic drinks into the stadium, it;s still a nice way to get pumped up for the season ahead. School is starting back up, the kids are coming back to town and the atmosphere will be good and cheerful. What more could you ask for?
